The Rags: paraphernalia of menstruation.

I happened upon your blog and found your most recent link to the Powerhouse Museum’s collection on menstrual “rags” to be very interesting.

What interested me most was the sentence, “Menstruation is a matter for private lives, not public exhibition, so few museums collect artifacts associated with this defining occurrence in women's lives.”

But, not everyone would agree that “menstruation is a matter for private lives, not public exhibition”! I hope you will want to listen to a recent audio interview I conducted with Harry Finley, Founder of the very fascinating, information-filled Museum of Menstruation and Women’s Health (www.mum.org).

Mr. Finley’s website, by the way is an extremely serious venture, and contains nearly 2000 pages online!

As you will see from reading the show notes, in this audio interview with Mr. Finley (which can be accessed, along with the show notes, at http://www.keeper.com/finley.html),he discusses some truly fascinating topics – most of them relating to menstruation. AND, the show notes contain some amazing links!

The Keeper, Inc., at www.keeper.com, is the manufacturer of the environment-friendly Keeper and Moon Cup reusable menstrual cups.

I am so glad I found your site. And I hope you’ll want to visit ours.

Thanks very much!
